Wanted People to go in with me For Quaife ATB Differential
Indpls. IN.
I was hopeing I could find some people here on this site since it is a type 3 site only to commit to buying a Quaife differential for an automatic. There is not one currently offered for an automatic so one woud have to be cross referenced or made just for it. So far I haven't had any luck finding or cross referencing one in the Technical Drawings List. So If one has to be made they will want a certain amount of people to commit to buying one before they design a new unit. I know there must be some people out there who knows a lot more about the VW transmissions than I do. The axles in the Automatic transaxle I am speaking of appear to be 28 MM I measured them at 1.100 or 27.95 MM. They are smaller than what is in a manual trans. The ring gear in it looks to be smaller than one in a manual Trans. The Carrier Bore appears to be 66 MM this is without taking it apart. If anyone knows anything about swapping different parts into the automatic from a manual I would like to hear from you I would appreciate your help. I am working on a buggy kind of project and I need a diff that will give me better traction and I prefer the Quaife they are very expensive but worth it in my opinion. Thanks Howard Hoover Indpls.
