Re: [T3] Smoking ignition



Thanks for the lead for the ISP West repro switch and lock. I have written to them asking if I could use this ignition switch with the original key cylinder. These were the two answers I received:
 
Alex: "Only if your key profile is a K which is 67 only or replacement for that style switch. Then yes you can remove the cylinder that comes with it and use your with your key."
 

Anthony: "no it uses later parts, to use your original key cylinder you need the correct 1967 and earlier ignition switch section..."

 

These responses seem contradictory to me. I do have a 67 lock and switch (or at least I believe I do), so according to Alex's answer I should be able to retain my key cylinder. However, according to Anthony, this is not possible. Any insights? Keith?
